Designed for achieving a high gloss finish on copper, brass, and stainless steel, the Brumby SSX Polishing Compound is perfect for polishing applications. For the best results, use it with a Josco Loose Leaf Calico Buff.

Josco also offers three other types of polishing compounds in both standard and large sizes, all suitable for surfaces without major blemishes. These compounds ensure minimal metal removal while delivering a bright finish. Any small scratches left by cutters can be effectively removed using a finishing compound.

Directions for Use:

1. Most buffs have a tapered center bore and can be mounted on either side of your grinder using a tapered spindle.
2. Choose the correct buffs and compounds for your job. Begin with a fast-cut compound using a stitched sisal or rag buff, then follow up with a polishing compound and a loose leaf buff. For optimal results, keep a separate buff for each compound to avoid mixing.
3. Apply the compound across the face of the rotating buff for a few seconds, ensuring not to overload the buff with too much compound. It’s better to apply small amounts frequently than to over-dress the buff.
4. Once the compound is applied, bring the workpiece into contact with the buff, applying light pressure while moving back and forth across the surface.
5. After polishing, remove any compound residue from the workpiece with mineral turpentine, methylated spirits, or warm soapy water.
